Helping government and public-purpose organisations set direction, invest in what matters, and create value that makes a difference.

Better organisational decisions, by design.

Public purpose organisations are navigating growing complexity.

The pace of change, community needs and expectations, and financial pressures mean leaders are being asked to make important decisions in increasingly challenging environments.

There is an opportunity to approach strategy, decision-making and implementation differently.

When organisations create space for more human-centred thinking, broader perspectives and structured collaboration, problems get understood more fully before they are solved.

Participation builds ownership. Ownership helps ideas become action.

Strategy and decisions carry more weight because diverse perspectives shaped them. And organisations are better equipped to adapt, align and move forward with confidence.

Trusted by government and public service organisations.

Chrisanya Martin.
Design-led strategic advisor, consultant and facilitator for public-purpose organisations.

I work with government and public-purpose organisations as a strategic partner, helping leaders navigate complexity, strengthen decision-making and connect strategy to action.

Across my career, I’ve held senior and executive roles, leading functions across local government spanning corporate strategy and planning, service planning and review, organisational transformation, business improvement and performance.

This experience gives me a deep understanding of how organisations plan, make decisions, allocate resources and translate intent into outcomes.

Along the way, I became increasingly interested in how design thinking could be applied beyond innovation and service teams, particularly within strategy, policy and organisational decision-making. I completed a Master of Design Futures at RMIT, where I researched how local governments adopt design thinking as an organisational capability.

Today, I bring together strategy, benefits management, service planning and design-led thinking to help organisations work through complexity with greater clarity, alignment and confidence.

Why work with me.

  • Deep expertise in corporate strategy, benefits management, service planning and organisational design; combining practical experience with postgraduate training in design and systems thinking.

  • Bringing a whole-of-system understanding of how organisations set direction, prioritise investment and translate strategy into action. Experienced working across strategy, transformation, service planning and organisational improvement in complex public-purpose environments.

  • The goal is never simply a document or workshop. Every engagement is designed to improve clarity, strengthen decision-making and support meaningful organisational outcomes.

  • Applying design thinking to strategic and organisational challenges, using structured collaboration, systems thinking and human-centred approaches to work through complexity and build shared understanding.
